With over 300 cranes across the laboratory’s complex there are a large number of crane managers who oversee the inspection, qualification, authorization, and training for these devices.

Reference your proof load tag (see below) number (example “06-CR-030”) which is located on the metal inspection tag attached to the crane or pendent controller. If you’re unable to locate this tag then use the building and room number the hoist is located in.

Crane managers maintain control of any keys or other mechanisms for limiting crane use to qualified operators only, and maintain inspection books and logs for a minimum of 180 days.
Expand on expectations of crane managers, provide a link to the list of them, add links to any relevant google doc forms, etc.
