The Environmental Services Group (ESG) supports Berkeley Lab’s policy of conducting its scientific mission in a manner that protects human health and the environment, complies with all applicable regulatory requirements, mitigates environmental hazards and continually improves the Lab’s environmental performance. ESG provides technical expertise, oversight, and operational support across key environmental disciplines including:

- Environmental radiological emissions management
- Permitting and regulatory compliance
- Sampling and monitoring
- Soil management and characterization
- Groundwater treatment and restoration
