National Radiation Protection Professionals Week, observed annually during the week of November 8, commemorates Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen’s 1895 discovery of the X-ray. It recognizes health physicists and other radiation protection professionals for ensuring the safe and beneficial use of radiation and radioactive materials.
Professionals across the Lab, including those in the Accelerator Technology & Applied Physics Division; the Nuclear Science Division; and the Environment, Health, and Safety Division gathered for a group photo to celebrate and mark the occasion. Remember to thank our Lab health physicists for their dedication to keeping our community safe and healthy!
