For non-emergency situations, if you see something, share it. Whether it is happening right now — or ongoing — allows the right group to be notified to get the situation fixed.
This is our way of protecting the Lab, Its people, and the environment, making a safer and more secure workplace for everyone.
In Case of an Emergency
- If this is a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately. Please stay on the line until it is answered. If calling from a cellular phone, call 911 and be prepared to tell the dispatcher your exact. location. If you can’t speak with 911 personnel in an emergency, you can also text 911.
- Inform your supervisor and/or line manager about the incident.
- Call Health Services at x6266 or 1-510-486-6266 for Injuries and Illnesses.
- Call x6999 or 1-510-486-6999 for the following:
- Environmental releases
- Hazardous conditions
- Traffic incidents
- Near-miss events
- Security events
- Chemical spills
- Worker exposure
- Over Pressurization
- Fumes
- Odors
- Unplanned Discharge

If you need medical care during business hours, call Health Services at 1-510-486-6266. Health Services is open from 7:30 until 4:00 pm. If you need medical care outside of business hours, go to an urgent care center and call 1-510-486-6999 to report the injury or illness.
