Workers’ Compensation is a benefit provided by your employer if you are injured at work.
If you experience an occupational injury or illness, you should immediately contact your supervisor and report your injury to Health Services. Occupational health professionals will evaluate your injury, render first aid, and initiate appropriate treatment. When necessary, you will be referred to a specialist or your pre-designated personal physician for further medical care.
California’s workers’ compensation law guarantees prompt, automatic benefits to workers injured on the job. The third-party Workers’ Compensation administrator will provide any medical or compensation benefits an injured worker is entitled to receive.
