All medically eligible employees, whether working on site or not, and affiliates who come to a Lab site must have a COVID booster shot by Feb. 28 per the UC COVID policy. Employees and affiliates should upload proof to the Lab’s occupational health record at clinic.lbl.gov. Those who are currently medically eligible to receive a booster and have not uploaded proof of booster by February 28, 2022, will be placed into Protocol B. Protocol B requires weekly testing and other requirements for those coming on site.
Those who are not yet medically eligible to receive a booster (are still within the efficacy period of the initial vaccine), must upload their proof of booster within 30 days of becoming medically eligible.
You are medically eligible for a COVID booster shot if:
- It has been five months since you received a Pfizer or Moderna primary series
- It has been two months since you received a J & J vaccination
- It has been six months since you receive a non-FDA but WHO-approved primary series
Exemptions for the booster shot should be started at clinic.lbl.gov.
