Property Management
Anything purchased through Berkeley Lab funding is owned by Berkeley Lab on behalf of the Department of Energy. It is the responsibility of the property custodian to ensure it is accounted for and maintained. The EHS Property Representative (Candace Flores, email: CLFlores@lbl.gov) can assist with property-related questions including movement, modification, retirement, excess or stolen assets. Procurement’s Property Management website can be found here.
Procurement – Purchasing Guidelines and Signature Authority
Approved purchasing guidelines must be reviewed in advance to avoid an Unauthorized Procurement. Procurement & Property website can be found here.
Signature Authorization System (SAS): Signature authority is a key safeguard in assuring that funding is used for its intended purpose and to guard against waste, fraud and abuse. Employees with signature authority must be aware of all applicable DOE, UC and LBNL policies, laws and regulations regarding the use of funds.
Timekeeping/LETS
All LBNL employees must enter their own time into LETS (Lab Employee Time System) and release it for supervisor approval prior to the sweep date.
Timecard corrections are processed through the EHS Admin Help Desk. Your time keeper is Kelly Pallki, ext: 7366, email: KMPalkki@lbl.gov
Timekeeping training can be found here.
