
Overview:
If you have an illness you suspect was caused by your work or were injured while performing your job duties, you may be eligible for Workers’ Compensation and protected leave under applicable laws. This includes medical treatment, wage replacement, and possible FMLA/CFRA leave if your injury prevents you from working.

Eligibility:
- Injury must have occurred while performing work-related duties
- You must report the injury as soon as possible
- FMLA/CFRA may apply if your injury qualifies as a serious health condition
What You Get:
- Workers’ compensation benefits (medical care, wage replacement)
- Job-protected leave under FMLA/CFRA (if applicable)
- Potential modified duty or accommodation upon return
Steps to Take:
- Report the injury to your supervisor immediately
- Complete a Workers’ Compensation claim form (DWC-1) at Health Services
- Seek medical care from Health Services or an authorized provider
- If unable to work, IDAM will place you on medical leave
