
Overview:
If you have a medical condition or disability that affects how you perform your job, you may qualify for a workplace accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or California Family Rights Act (CFRA).

Eligibility:
- You must be able to perform your essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- No time period for when you need to request accommodations. Requests can be at any time of your employment.
- Participate in interactive process discussions with IDAM
- Provide medical certification for your limitations (in some cases)
What You Get:
- Accommodations such as adjustments to your job duties, schedule, equipment, or work environment.
- Interactive process discussions with your supervisor, HR and IDAM.
Steps to Take:
- Submit a request for Accommodation Employee Questionnaire
- Have your health provider complete the workplace accommodation certification form
- Send documents to idam@lbl.gov
- Participate in Interactive Process Discussion meetings
